A familiar checkout with a different payment rail
Seeker Eats is a mobile food-ordering prototype for the Solana Mobile ecosystem. It lets someone browse restaurants, build an order, and pay with USDC through a familiar checkout flow.
I worked on the React Native app, Privy wallet onboarding, and payment integration. The project placed third in the Solana track at the 2025 Midwest Blockchain Conference student hackathon.
What we built
- Ordering on mobile. Restaurant browsing, menu selection, and checkout in React Native.
- Wallet onboarding. Privy authentication and wallet flows inside the app.
- USDC checkout. A Solana devnet payment flow connecting a wallet transaction to an order.
- Restaurant integration. Square POS for ordering, with DoorDash Drive and Twilio as fallback integrations for delivery and restaurant communication.
The recording below shows the pitch and an ordering demo, including devnet USDC checkout. This was a hackathon prototype; it did not reach a completed fiat settlement flow or production delivery service.
What made it interesting
The difficult part was coordinating systems with different ideas of success. A confirmed payment, an accepted restaurant order, and a delivery request are separate events. The interface needed to make those states understandable rather than hide everything behind one checkout button.
That work brought together mobile interface design, wallet integration, and several external services in a compact prototype.
